November 18 (SeeNews) - Turkish industrial equipment supplier Teknopanel will invest 20 million euro ($20.7 million) in the construction of a plant for sandwich panels in Skopje, North Macedonia's government said on Friday.

The factory, which will be located in the Technological Industrial Development Zone (TIDZ) Skopje 1, is expected to create 120 jobs and begin operations next year, the government said in a press release.

The factory is expected to generate over 150 million euro in export revenue in the first ten years of its operations, according to the earlier statement.

As modern, light and durable construction elements, sandwich panels are used to clad roofs and external walls of the buildings as well as achieving insulated internal walls and cold storages, according to Teknopanel's website.

Teknopanel manufactures insulation products, sandwich panels and other construction materials. It has four production facilities in Turkey, employing a total of 460 people, its website shows. ($ = 1.037 euro)
